Who we are:

Ideate Education Empowerment, Inc. is a Student Scholarship Organization (SSO); approved by the State of Georgia and charitable, tax-exempt, 501(c) (3) organization.

In 2008, the Georgia General Assembly passed House Bill 1133, and Governor Sonny Perdue signed the bill into law on May 14.  This law permits Georgia taxpayers to receive an income tax credit by donating to Ideate Education Empowerment, Inc.

All Georgians, Corporations or Businesses with a tax liability to the State of Georgia may redirect a portion of their state taxes to Ideate Education Empowerment, Inc. Scholarship Program by completing form IT-QEE-TP1.   http://ideateedu.org/TSD_HB-1133_FORM_IT-QEE-TP1-Version%209.pdf

Married couples filing a joint return receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against Georgia income tax liability for donations up to $2,500 ($1,000 in the case of single or head of household filers).

Corporations receive a dollar-for-dollar credit for donations up to 75% of the Georgia income tax liability. There is a $50 million cap on the total amount of Georgia tax credits that will be awarded each year.  The Georgia Tuition Tax Credit is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Georgians can now make informed decisions to redirect tax liability dollars, providing funding to parents with limited finances to send their child/children to private schools whether for academic excellence, or unique learning styles.  90% of all tuition tax credit donations are allocated for scholarships. Contributors also have the opportunity to designate the eligible school of their choice to receive their donation.

Donors and corporate citizens by utilizing Ideate Education Empowerment, Inc, have control over spending their own taxes. Inspiration emerges for contributors when doors are opened for children, whose educational dreams become reality, empowering donors to have a more dynamic incentive to donate to Ideate’s Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship program. http://ideateedu.org/support-ieei.htm
